The villa, an architectural project inspired by classic farmhouses in the area, is perfectly integrated in the surrounding landscape. The elements of traditional rural architecture are combined with vintage and contemporary pieces, giving the villa a distinctive and unmistakable character.

The large windows, present in every room, merge the inside of the house with the spacious outdoor spaces, allowing natural light to flood every corner of the villa.

At the entrance, you’ll find a living room, comfortable and beautifully furnished, with a large sofa by the fireplace. Perfect for a relaxing and ‘off grid’ holiday, the villa does not have a television.

By the living room, there’s a dining room with a large table, suitable for up to 8 people.

The large, modern kitchen has a central island space and is fully equipped for cooking. The outside terrace leads to the night area, with four independent bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and shower.

The outdoor spaces of the villa faithfully reflect the characteristic architectural style of the ancient Sicilian structures of the south-east of the island, thanks to the presence of tiles and patios covered with reeds, dry stone walls, centuries-old olive trees, ancient jars, and typical Mediterranean vegetation. Facing the kitchen, there’s a furnished covered patio, perfect for enjoying outdoor dinners, and a small relaxation area.

On the main terrace, there’s a large relaxation area, with comfortable outdoor sofas and chairs, perfect for admiring the breathtaking views of the countryside and its unique sunsets. A short walk along a panoramic path, with awe-inspiring views of the sea (located just 3 km from the villa) and the horizon, leads to a wonderful salt pool (measuring 25x4m).

The swimming pool, surrounded by green lawns and centuries-old olive trees, is equipped with chic sun loungers, creating the perfect relaxing environment.

We like

Spending the holidays immersed in the beauty of nature, with the opportunity to explore the magnificence of the Sicilian Baroque Valley, a UNESCO site full of extraordinary wonders.

Paying a fascinating visit to the water mills in the nearby Cava d’Ispica, where the traditional stone milling of flours is still practised today, as it was done hundreds of years ago.

Villa Pietraia is the ideal place for those who want to introduce a piece of Sicily to their heart, offering a unique experience of luxury, culture, and contact with nature.
