The architecture is typically Sicilian, thoughtfully refurbished by the current owners who, having arrived in Sicily, fell in love with this area and chose it as their holiday haven.
The refurbishment is carefully done, keeping the mansion in the highest splendor whilst adding the highest standards of efficiency and comfort, in service of creating a space which is both sophisticated and attenuated to modern tastes and desires.

Villa La Barchessa a is spread across two floors, connected by a gorgeous traditional staircase in the traditional stone which you’ll find in most Sicilian mansions, as well as by a convenient elevator.

From the entrance, a large and monument-like staircase leads the large, well-lit dining room, the kitchen, the laundry room, and the pantry, to the ample living room which includes games tables, a television area, and comfortable corners to sit and read or chat. This leads onto the furnished terrace.

With a white and pastel colour scheme, the villa has a fresh, elegant, and welcoming atmosphere throughout. A guest bathroom completes the first floor.

On the second floor you’ll find the six bedrooms spread along a long corridor, each one with an en suite and access to the long shared balcony. The bedroom at the end of the corridor is a little larger, includine a mezzanine with an extra double bed – perfect for sleeping couples with children or for four young adults or teenagers.

Apart from the main house, the property includes an outdoor area with an oven and a barbeque, perfect for enjoying al fresco dinners ‘alla Siciliana’.

The old stables are a wonderful location for parties, or simply spots to explore the ancient roots of the house and surrounding area.
