Villa Ferula
Contemporary villa with heated swimming pool
overlooking the Egadi islands
This cool, stylish villa is located on a hillside above the town of Marsala, the Egadi islands and the ‘Stagnone’ lagoon and nature reserve, and is immersed in a wood of oak, holm oak and centuries old trees, as well as abundant ferula communis, the fennel-like plant that gives Ferula its name. The vegetation parts before the villa to allow for an enchanting view of the Egadi islands from the pool and the terrace – lovely at any time of day, but definitely at its most magical at sunset.
Ferula is a contemporary villa set on two levels. On the first, ground levek, is a large open space with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room. Large sliding windows give pleasant views of the swimming pool and garden. Also on this level are two bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite bathroom – the other is smaller and more intimate.
A stylish staircase – itself a work of art – leads down to a wellness room (sauna and massage area) and then to the lower floor of the villa, with another 3 bedrooms, all large and spacious with en-suite bathrooms. An extensive and luxuriant garden surrounds the house, part of it retained as woodland, the other part as a “sustainable garden” where – despite its well-kept appearance — nature is master.
The beautiful pool, which can be heated on request, is located in front of the house, and boasts a breathtaking view of the Egadi islands of Levanzo and Marettimo. As we said before, at sunset, this beautiful view becomes truly magical!
