Villa close to the sea and the
nature reserve of the river Irminio

Villa Dafnide is named after a water nymph with whom the Greek god Hermes fell in love. Hermes himself is said to have given his name to the river, whose waters and surroundings now form one of the loveliest nature reserves in Sicily.

Find out more

The villa is located within an elegant vacation residence complex on a beach known as Plaia Grande. The baroque towns of Scicli and Ragusa are both nearby, set among undulating hills criss-crossed with the drystone walls and limestone terraces – all of which will be familiar to fans of the Inspector Montalbano TV series. Marina di Ragusa, a smart yachting port with lively pubs, restaurants and bars, is a short drive along the coast.

Dafnide is a contemporary minimalist villa, decorated entirely in white, with splashes of colour. It was designed to make outdoor living easy, elegant and effortless. There is a fantastically well-equipped outdoor kitchen with a large open air dining area; an outdoor shower and bathroom; zones for relaxing in the full sun and the shade; and a large swimming pool.

Inside, there is a large central living space, with a carefully concealed kitchen area, and a comfortable sitting area with large TV. Bedrooms lead off from both sides, each with two rooms that share the same bathroom. All the bedrooms have direct access to the garden or pool.
