Restored stone farmhouse with pool
and panoramic views

Located on the north coast of Sicily, Il Carrubo takes its name from the estate of carob trees that once surrounded the villa – today, one glorious specimen remains, providing shade, in time – honoured Sicilian fashion – in the eastern part of the garden.

The rest of the garden has been cleared – apart from the occasional ancient olive tree – to reveal fantastic sea views that stretch from the promontory of Capo Calavà to the Aeolian Islands.
There is a lovely green lawn, an intense blue bean-shaped pool, with a relaxing sun-bathing area around it.
The villa is long, making the most of the views over the lawn and pool and sea.
The ground floor consists large living room with fireplace, two bedrooms, a comfortable kitchen and a further bedroom on the side of the house, with an independent entrance.
Upstairs there is a fourth bedrooom with a little studio (space for two single sofa beds) and a private terrace.
All rooms are doubles, with private bathrooms and direct access to the garden.
A  lovely furnished portico provides an outdoor living-dining room – with wood-burning oven and barbeque for al fresco cooking!

Useful Informations:
two different groups of friends can also rent Il Piccolo Casale a short distance from Carrubo.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at the villa!

Hi Ottavia –

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at the villa! It’s a magnificent location – we’ve been able to visit many of the local attractions and beaches, and the accommodation is superb.

We would definitely recommend it to others and hope to visit Sicily again soon. Unfortunately, our flight times require us to depart the villa earlier than we would prefer!

All the best, and thank you for all your assistance.

Villa Il Carrubo first week of May 2017

May 13, 2017
Our family spent one week in Villa Il Carrubo first week of May 2017. We are 7 grown ups and 3 children and I have to say that everybody loved the stay. The villa is situatied in a beautiful surrounding in a quiet area just few minutes away from Acquedolci which is a typical small Sicilian village.
The view from the villa is spectacular. The villa is very nice and has everything needed for a relaxed and nice holliday. All communication and interaction with the staff was first class and we got a really good service in all respect. As we don´t speak italian it was a vital thing to have kind of “personal assistant” (Ottavia) who solved all problems and fullfilled all our need. Ottavia arranged for rental cars, chef to come to cook for us in the villa, photographer to take family pictures, massage lady and more….. Extremely helpful lady! We can definately recommend renting a house or villa through Reykjavík, Iceland, May 2017
