Villa with heated pool a short drive from the pristine
sands and uncontaminated waters of Menfi

Menfi, Agrigento

Villa Boscalgisi is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It sits at the head of an avenue of palms, and sits on a gentle slope, from which views stretch to the sea and the sandy beaches of Menfi ten minutes’ drive away. Two of the local beaches — Lido Fiori Bertolino and Porto Palo Cipollazzo – are long-standing recipients of the prestigious blue flag – awarded to beaches that meet the highest environmental standards.

We like

An aperitivo by the pool with its sea views.
The French windows that give a feeling of continuity between the interior and the beautiful garden.
Swimming from the magnificent beaches of Sicily’s west coast — Ciache Bianca, Capparrina, Lido Fiori Bertolino, Porto Palo Cipollazzo, Selinunte, Torre Salsa and Baia dei Turchi.
A dinner at the nearby Planeta vineyard — while enjoying their delicious wines – and visiting their vineyards at Menfi and at Sambuca di Sicilia.
A visit to the magnificent archaeological park of Selinunte.
A visit at sunset to the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, an unforgettable experience.

We think

The villa is ideal for lazy views over the vineyards and olive groves, yet just a few minutes from pristine beaches that have been awarded the Blue Flag for several years.
Boscaglisi is suitable for both family groups and groups of friends.

Things to do

Some things not to miss in you are staying at the Villa Boscalgisi.

  • The fantastically sited temples of Selinunte.
  • The historic town of Mazara del Vallo whose centre is reminiscent of an oriental kasbah – oh, and don’t miss the statue of the Dancing Satyr, discovered by fishermen, and now with its own dedicated museum.
  • The medieval town of Erice.
  • A day at Rocco Forte’s Verdura golf resort.
  • Menfi beaches.
  • A day at La Pineta  at Marinella, a great lido with a very good restaurant.
  • Visits and tastings in the numerous wineries and olive oil farms.
