Plenty of our villas have heating and many have fireplaces, so can be per-fect for a Sicilian winter holiday. The sun doesn’t always shine, but days without any sun at all are rare, and average daily temperatures in the coldest months — January and February — are over 10 degrees C. What you CAN expect are lots of crisp, fresh sunny days — and, if there’s no wind, you may be surprised at how hot the winter Sicilian sun can be. Most cafes and bars have canopies and heaters on their terraces, so you can sit out-side whatever the weather. Winter is the best time to explore mountain ranges like the Nebrodi and Madonie, and you can even ski on Etna.
