1/A) WHY SICILY?

1/B) WHEN IN SICILY?

The climate in Sicily is typically Mediterranean and therefore perfect as an all year round destination. In full winter, the coastline’s temperature rarely goes below 10°C whilst it’s obviously colder inland and in the mountains.

During the months of July and August it is often very hot. Ideal for seaside holidays. An option that you can consider in May, June, September and October as well. In these months nature is a tribute to color and the climate is warm. Not too hot to visit cities, archaeological sites and monuments and the beaches and touristic areas are not crowded.

2/A) HOW TO FIND THE IDEAL VILLA FOR YOU?

The filters for size, features, area and range price will help you find a villa that meets your needs. Anyway, our staff knows the villas personally and are always on hand to advise you.

3/A) HOW WILL I KNOW IF THE VILLA IS AVAILABLE?

You can contact us by filling in the form requesting availability on the villa page from our catalog: Sicilyluxuryvillas

4/A) HOW DO I BOOK MY CHOSEN VILLA?

Once you’ve received a positive response to your availability request, within the deadline (normally not more than 3 days), You will receive a booking form, it must be filled out, signed and mailed to administration@travelsicilia.com.
After the receipt of the copy countersigned by Travel Sicilia, You can proceed to make the agreed payment by bank transfer or by credit card through our pay online service.

4/B) WHAT DOES “PROVISIONAL BOOKING” MEAN?

After you have received our confirmation of your availability request your provisional booking will last for approx. 3 days. This will ensure that your accommodation cannot be booked whilst you secure the reservation by sending us the signed contract and payment. The provisional booking is not binding as it will be automatically released if the contract and payment have not been received by the deadline

5/A) WHO NEEDS TO SIGN THE CONTRACT?

The signee has to be one of the party and be older than 18 years old.
The person who signs the contract certifies to be authorized to accept the Conditions of the Contract on behalf of all the persons present on the Booking Contract included those who may be added or substituted at a later stage.

5/B) WHAT’S IN THE CONTRACT?

The signee’s details such as name, address and e-mail, the villa name as published in our program, arrival and departure dates, the necessary deposit to confirm the booking and the remaining balance and lastly all the general conditions of the contract (ie. Admission or not of domestic animals) and what services are included.

6/A) WHAT DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO SECURE THE BOOKING?

The sum required as a deposit is a variable percentage and depends on the chosen accommodation and its booking terms but it’s normally between the range of 25% to 50% of the total cost of the booking. The deposit is necessary to confirm the booking and is required at the moment of signing the contract.

6/B) WHEN DO I HAVE TO SEND THE BALANCE OF THE VILLA RENTAL?

As stated in the general conditions of the contract, the balance has to be paid by 60 days prior to arrival to the villa. Bookings made less than 60 days prior to arrival have to be paid in full in one payment.

6/C) HOW CAN I PAY?

Unless otherwise stated by Travel Sicilia, both the deposit payment and the balance can be made either by bank draft, by credit card, or Paypal.
Our bank details are on the booking form, while for the payment via credit card o Paypal is necessary to contact us.

6/D) HOW MUCH IS THE AMOUNT OF THE SECURITY DEPOSIT, AND WHEN IT IS RETURNED?

The amount of the deposit varies from property to property and it is clearly stated in the description of the property. It will be paid in cash or cheque at your arrival to the welcome responsible and it will be returned less any damages at your departure. In case of damage the deposit can be stopped for a time to give to the owners a way to quantify the amount and to have the necessary financial reports

7/A) WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?

Any cancellation on behalf of the Client (for any reason) has to be communicated immediately in writing either by post, e-mail or fax. The effective date of cancellation is the date that Travel Sicilia receives the written communication.

If you cancel 60 days or even before its arrival, you will lose only the deposit.

If you cancel 30 days or even after its arrival, you will lose the full amount paid

7/B) WHAT IF THE VILLA I HAVE CHOSEN IS NO GOOD?

The villas are presented as objectively as possible and have been inspected by Travel Sicilia team who has ascertained that the villa has all the necessary parameters to be included in our website. The information is accurate and includes all features of the villa. In the unlikely event of a change, we will notify our clients immediately. Consequently, objective reasons are required for the Client to refuse to take possession of the villa.

7/C) AND IF IT’S THE VILLA OWNER TO CANCEL?

You have the right to a full refund of the amount paid, except in cases of force majeure or natural disasters, and compensation of the main damage covered by the villa owner. Travel Sicilia will do its utmost to safeguard the clients with a similar accommodation depending on availability.

8/A) WHAT SERVICES ARE INCLUDED?

Bedroom and bathroom linen is always included (normally one set per person). Linen is changed once a week, even if in many of our villas a change is also foreseen once mid-week.
All consumption is included unless otherwise stated.
Cleaning on arrival and departure – several of our villa also include a mid-week cleaning. For these services however make reference to the villa page where its individual services are described.

In some villas certain services, such as cleaning person, cook and waiters are included in the villa price. Where these are not included, where possible, they are available on request at extra cost.

CONCIERGE SERVICE:

Through our dedicated concierge service, available on request at cost through our Guest Relation, you can enjoy a personalized service of local assistance such as the booking of transfers, restaurants, theatres, personalized itineraries, tours, local guides the organization of a cook or chef to prepare meals in your villa. Basically, anything you may require to make your holiday special.

9/A) CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIME

Usually check-in time is from 3pm to 7pm and check-out is by 10.30am. Different times to these have to be arranged in advance and approved by the villa owner and may foresee a small extra charge.
