Remarkable penthouse apartment with rooftop views

This loft apartment really does have the most unusual and unique location –  in the heart of the Baroque centre of Noto, its terrace shares a wall with a little 18th century church – with windows looking down into the interior of the church itself!

The apartment is located on the top floor of an elegant palazzo. It consists of a large open-plan living room with kitchen, dining area and TV/conversation zone, opening onto the larger of the apartment’s two terraces – which feels like a seamless extension of the living space. The terrace has a ‘bioclimatic’ pergola which allows guests to make the most of the outdoor space, whatever the weather.

The terrace is on the same level as the church’s belltower – indeed the three windows of the outdoor dining area look directly down on the nave of the neoclassical church, decorated with delicate stuccoes. Large, comfortable sofas, pouffes and coffee tables make the terrace the ideal spot for a sunset aperitivo — the limestone of Noto is famous for the way it seems to glow and change in the colours of the setting sun and sky.

One bedroom  with ensuite bathroom opens off the main living space. The master bedroom –  ensuite, and with its own private terrace – is on the other side of the apartment

A fitness zone and hydromassage tub are available to guests in the palazzo.
